Is the Clarisonic worth $150 or am I being scammed

Everyone on YouTube has one. Everyone. Every "my nighttime routine" video starts with someone waving a little spinning brush at the camera.

It's $150. For a face brush. I'm a grad student. Talk me out of it, or into it, I honestly don't know which.

I have one. I love it. I also bought it with a birthday gift card so I never had to feel the $150 leave my body.

Heads up that a lot of people break out the first few weeks. Your skin is supposed to get worse before it gets better. I gave up after three weeks because I couldn't tell if it was that or if the brush just hated me.

If you have sensitive skin be careful. I used mine every day like the instructions said and my cheeks went red and raw. Now I use it twice a week and it's great. Less is more.

ok that's useful, I definitely have the kind of skin that goes red if you look at it

the brush heads are also like $25 each and you're supposed to replace them every 3 months. that's the real cost

Honest answer: a washcloth gets you 80% of the way there. A clean, soft washcloth and a gentle cleanser. That's what I did all through college.

Ok I didn't buy it. I bought a pack of soft washcloths for $6 and put the rest towards rent like a responsible adult. If I win the lottery the Clarisonic is the first thing I'm getting.
