Snail mucin was the weirdest one for me and it became my holy grail. Never judge an ingredient by its animal.

Dry, 40s, rosacea. AM: splash of water, azelaic acid, a thick moisturizer, mineral sunscreen. PM: cream cleanser, moisturizer, Vaseline on the dry spots. Fire: the azelaic. Took me years to find what works.

If you're in the EU you have so many good options at the pharmacy too. La Roche-Posay, Isdin, Avène. The US hasn't approved a new sunscreen filter in decades, so you're all kind of stuck.
