Garnier micellar water is suddenly everywhere and everyone swears it takes off makeup with zero rubbing. Apparently French women have been using it for years.

I tried it. It took off my mascara... kinda. With some rubbing. Am I doing it wrong?
My girlfriend says I play too much. She's not wrong.

Waterproof mascara needs the two-phase one (the blue cap with the oily layer you have to shake). The regular one barely touches it.

it's great for nights when I'm too tired to wash my face properly. not a real cleanser though, I always wash in the morning

Bioderma was the original cult one, French pharmacy stuff. Garnier is the cheap version and honestly it's about the same for me.
Team Tifa. Ask me why. Actually don't, it's a long essay.

Hold the cotton pad on your eye for 10-15 seconds before you wipe. Let it work. Don't scrub. That was the trick for me.

Got the two-phase one and did the hold trick from pixelfox. Mascara gone in one swipe. Ok, I take it back, it's not literally water
